Marie Otero is a self-taught mixed media artist. Her current passion lies in creating large format digital artwork using original photographs and vintage ephemera. There are times when change is called for and she also enjoys making traditional collage, hand made books, fabric art and found object jewelry.

Marie has written articles for several publications including Cloth Paper Scissors, Artitude, CollageCat Zine, and Artista Zine. Her work has been featured in Stampington's Artist Trading Cards, Cloth Paper Scissors, Art Doll Quarterly, Artitude and several Zines. Portfolio commissions include the logo designs for Art and Soul Retreats for 2007 and Artistic Journey Retreat 2007.

Marie's well known nick name is the "Lost Aussie". Having been born in the UK, she was brought up in Australia and has been traveling almost constantly since she was 21. Several countries around the Globe have been called home, including the United States where she has resided on and off for the last 10 years, but it's always the beach and scent of the gum trees on the wind that draw her back to "Oz" - where she can usually be found for several months of the year.

Marie is married, has two medium-sized sons, two full-sized step-sons and shares her home with 6 rescued four-paw critters.
